The Bailey family: December 2009

Gone are the days of looking through negatives, going to the store to make copies of pictures for family members and friends, writing letters (although I am still of fan of that), etc. Yes, I am finally going to learn how to blog - and even do facebook! You all know how I value keeping in touch with family and friends -(and I don't do it nearly as much as I would like to) - but I have decided that this is a fun way to share with others who may be interested, what we are up to. Now, don't expect me to be a regular blogger - I have a hard time even checking my email - but I will add things here and there when there is a fun event or "story"! It was a cold, October day, but we had a lot of fun. Well, I should say the girls had a lot of fun. Mark happily put up with it and the boys said they were not going to do that again! We are just excited to have some fun family shots - now I have to decide which one to hang up in my living room - any votes? We wish you all a very Merry Chirstmas!

A Bitter-Sweet Time

Oma passed away from Leukemia (diagnosed suddenly): We had many special moments with her and with our family members. We don't get to see the "California Schmidt's" as often as we would like and we enjoyed our time together.

After 3 years of asking mom to be in the city little miss pageant, Amber was finally able to do it this year. She had a lot of fun and did a great job on her violin solo. She also loved the dressing up part! She won 1st attendant and was very excited.
